Naveen dismisses Rout`s claims

Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday dismissed the claims of former BJD minister Damodar Rout that the real power centre in the state was a party MP.

Bhubaneswar: Orissa Chief Minister Naveen
Patnaik on Monday dismissed the claims of former BJD minister
Damodar Rout that the real power centre in the state was a
party MP.

"There is nothing to talk about," Patnaik said of the
claims of Rout, who was dropped from the cabinet on May 9,
that the chief minister was implementing the agenda of party
MP Pyari Mohan Mohapatra instead of taking his own decisions.

Patnaik said the claims of Rout had been looked into.

"Pyari is the real power centre in the state while
Naveen is only an executor of decisions," Rout had alleged
raising a storm in the ruling BJD on the eve of the ruling
party`s second anniversary in Patnaik`s third term.
