Orissa Assembly was paralysed for the second day Thursday as Opposition Congress and BJP members stormed into the well demanding resignation of two ministers for alleged involvement in coal scam.

As soon as the House assembled for the day, members of both Congress and BJP trooped into the well accusing two ministers of being involved in coal scam during their tenure
as chairmen of the state-owned Orissa Small Industries Corporation (OSIC).
As speaker Pradip Amat went ahead with the question hour ignoring their plea, opposition legislators created a noisy scene demanding immediate resignation of urban
developmet minister Badri Narayan Patra and school and mass education minister Pratap Jena in connection with coal scam.
Both Patra and Jena had already denied their involvement in the coal scam claiming to be innocent and expressed readiness to face any probe.
As their voice went unheeded, the opposition members attempted to move to the speaker`s podium and climb his table even as their move was resisted by security staff. Amid uproar, a mice on the speaker`s table was broken by slogan shouting opposition MLAs.
Finding it tough to conduct the proceedings due to unruly scene, the speaker adjourned the house till 11.30 hrs.
When the House reassembled, uproarious scenes resurfaced with the opposition making clear their intention to stall the assembly if the two ministers are not removed in
connection with the coal scam.
