New Delhi: In the wake of death of one
person in a clash over land acquisition in Orissa today, BJP
accused the Naveen Patnaik government of adopting "wrong"
industrialisation policies.

"Firing in Kalinga Nagar has once again exposed wrong
policies of Orissa Government. It`s shocking that the state
Government has resorted to firing once again in its bid for
industrialisation," BJP General Secretary Dharmandra Pradhan
said here in a statement.

He said while BJP favours industrialisation, it is
"strongly opposed" to the use of gun in achieving the goal.

"Ever since the brutal firing incident in Kalinga Nagar
industrial complex in January 2006 in which 13 tribals were
killed opposing construction of boundary wall for an industry,
the Orissa government has not bothered to have a meaningful
dialogue with people agitating against the projects," he said
attacking BJP`s one-time ally.
