Orissa: Maoists snatch railway signal torch lights

Suspected Maoists have snatched cash, a mobile phone and two railway signal torch lights at gunpoint from an assistant station manager (ASM) at Jareikela station in Orissa.

gunpoint from an assistant station manager (ASM) at Jareikela
station in Orissa.

The police said ten armed Maoists had threatened the
ASM Sidharth Prasad who was on duty and robbed the cash, a
mobile phone and two railway signal torch lights at gunpoint
late last night.

Maoists pasted posters in Jareikela and nearby areas
vowing to avenge the encounter killings of two of their
area commanders, Sameer Xalxo and Md Musslim.
