Orissa: Six pilgrims killed in bus accident

Balasore: Six pilgrims, including four women, were killed Thursday and at least 32
injured, three of them critically, when the bus in which they were travelling collided with a truck here at NH-5, police said.
The tourist bus, carrying about 60 pilgrims from Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh, was on its way from Puri towards Kolkata when the head-on collision took place in the wee hours near Soro, 35 km from here.

Five passengers of the bus including four women and the truck driver died in the accident while the injured were taken to a hospital at Soro.

Police said the condition of three tourists is stated to be serious.
Preliminary report suggests that the accident might have taken place due to poor visibility caused by dense fog, sub-divisional police officer Kailash Chandra Parida said.
