Rourkela: Three persons including a minor boy were arrested for allegedly raping three
minor girls at Nuagam area in Sundargarh district, the police said Wednesday.
The girls of Katangajharia village had gone to Nuagam along with relatives to witness Ramleela festival last night.
The youths allegedly assaulted the relatives, took the girls to a nearby field and raped them.
The police personnel deployed in Nuagam on the occasion of Ramleela festival arrested all the accused, one of whom was 17-years-old and the others were in their early 20s. They were produced before a magistrate at Rajgangpur who remanded them to judicial custody today.
