Three hardcore Maoists held in Berhampur
The Maoists revealed information on Maoist activities and their place of hiding in Ganjam and Kandhamal districts, the SP added.
Berhampur: Three hardcore
Maoists, allegedly involved in various cases in Ganjam and
Kandhaman districts, were on Thursday arrested from Kandhamal,
a senior police official said.
Ganjam SP Rajesh Pandit said Rabindra Nayak alias
Mallick alias Budha, Jaya Nayak alias Jacob and Biswamitra
Pradhan alias Mila of Kerubadi area were picked up from
Daringibadi police limits in the district by a Ganjam police
The SP said all three persons were involved in a
dacoity case at Asurabandh in Ganjam district, Udaya Sahu
murder case in Daringibadi besides an ambush on security
personnel near Kerubadi in which a policeman was killed.
They also revealed names of persons who helped tribals
to join the Maoist outfit and some Maoist leaders working
under Ghumusar division, he said.
