Rourkela: Three persons, including a
couple, were killed when the car in which they were travelling collided with a dumper in Odisha's Sundargarh district on Sunday, the police said.
The couple, identified as Subhakar Patel and Gitanjali Patel, were coming from Sundergarh to Rourkela in the car when mishap struck them at Beldihi, about 16 km from here.
The other deceased was identified as the driver of the car, they said adding all were killed on the spot.
The driver of the high-speed dumper apparently lost control over the vehicle and dashed against the car coming from the opposite direction.
After the accident, the driver had fled along with the dumper.
