Keonjhar: Two Maoists were Wednesday killed in a fierce encounter with security forces in a
forested and hilly area of Orissa`s Keonjhar district.
The encounter took place after Special Operations
Group personnel and the police raided the Pancham hills in
Rebana-Palaspal forest in Daitary area, about 60 km from here.
The bodies were found after the encounter which lasted
seven hours.
A search was being made in the forest to ascertain if
there were more bodies or injured Maosists.
