Rourkela: Two inter-state vehicle lifters were nabbed and 13 stolen costly four-wheeler vehicles seized from Sakchi are in neighbouring Jharkhand, police said Monday.

A police team from Sundergarh raided different areas in Sakchi and arrested Md Khalid and Hari Das and also seized 13 stolen four-wheelers including three trucks, costly cars and jeeps, yesterday, Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar said.

The gang, with their Orissa associates, had stolen the vehicles from Sambalpur, Bolangir, Bargarh, Keonjhar and Anugul (all in Orissa) and from Chhatisgarh.

With yesterday's arrests, seven members of the gang have been nabbed and a total of 18 stolen vehicles seized during the past week.

Police had earlier arrested five looters and seized five stolen vehicles from Rajgangpur area on October 4.

The raids were conducted after a complaint received from Sobha Chandra Nayak of Sundergarh town, whose two vehicles were stolen by the gang, the SP said.
