Orissa: Rich tributes paid to slain BSF officers

Malkangiri:Glowing tributes were paid to the slain officers at the BSF unit camp in Balimela area in the presence of BSF Director General U K Bansal after which the bodies were sent to their native places.

The BSF DG also met the two injured BSF men at the district headquarters hospital here and enquired about their condition.

Bansal met the district collector and superintendent of police of Malkangiri and discussed the security scenario, official sources said.

Four BSF officers, including a commanding officer, were killed and two others injured in the blast near Balimela reservoir on Friday.

Is this the level of coverage the sacrifices of these four BSF officers deserve ? Has our media no moral responsibility towards these issues ? Only sensational news is feed for our media ? Sadly Kareenas and Rakhi Sawants hogs the media limelight but not the death of soilders. For whom these brave men are dying ? Have some courage and sensibility to highlight the death of soldiers in right perspective.
