Pune: India ace cueists Pankaj Advani and Geet Sethi reached the pre-quarterfinals of the IBSF National Billiards and Snooker Championships at the DY Patil Vidyapeeth stadium.
Sourav Kothari and Devendra Joshi also entered the last 16, along with D Rajkumar and Shyam Jagtiani at DY Patil Vidyapeeth stadium.
Meanwhile, Aranxta Sanchis of Maharashtra entered the finals of both the snooker and Billiards event of the Junior National Championships played at the PYC Hindu Gymkhana.
Sanchis set herself in line for double crown putting out Keerath Bhandaal (DEL) 162-85 in the junior billiards semifinals.
She will take on Varsha Sanjeev (KAR) who out potted Priyanka Agarwal (OR) 156-122.
In the girls junior snooker semi-final, Arantxa Sanchis defeated Sania Arif 2-0 (50-31, 50-32).
