Advani, Shahbaz enter last four Mumbai: Title favourite Pankaj Advani and junior national champion Shahbaaz Adil Khan advanced to the semifinals of the Nahar-MIG All India Invitation Snooker Championship here on Monday.

Advani, surprisingly beaten by Khan in the league stage, booked his berth in the last-four stage by getting the better of Petroleum Sports Promotion Board mate Alok Kumar 5-2, that included the tournament highest break of 137 in the last frame.

Khan defeated Manan Chandra, who was the winner in the first edition of the tournament two years ago, by an identical margin to move into the semifinals at the MIG Cricket Club.

Results (Quarterfinals): Shahbaaz Adil Khan beat Manan Chandra 5-2 (87-40, 64-23, 38-75, 14-97, 100-31, 78-53, 73-31); Pankaj Advani beat Alok Kumar 5-2 (72-25, 62-9, 76-0, 28-68, 0-109(59), 85-4, 137-0).
