Indore: Indians went off to a fine start in the Indian Junior and Cadet Open ITTF Table Tennis tournament while Thailand and Sri Lanka also registered victories, here today.
Rajib Sarkar and Sandipan Dey came out with impressive
performance as India-A beat India-C 3-1 in the cadet boys
category.
Meanwhile, Abhishek Yadav and Vivek Bhargava helped
India-B thrash Nepal 3-0 in another match of that category.
In cadet girls category, riding on good performance by
Rith Tennison and Mallika Bhandarkar, India-A tamed India-C
3-1.
Thailand beat Sri Lanka 3-0 in cadet boys category, while
in cadet girls section Sri Lanka-A pipped Sri Lanka-B 3-2.
