Japan’s skeleton master too old Vancouver: The oldest member of Japan’s Olympic team made no bones about his flop in the men’s skeleton at the Vancouver Games.

Kazuhiro Koshi concluded he was too old and that hurtling down an icy shute at 130 kilometres per hour was a young man’s game after finishing 20th in Friday’s Olympic competition.

“The skeleton that these guys are doing makes my style of sliding look like something from another age,” the 45-year-old told Japanese reporters with a sheepish grin.

“It showed me my limits and I realise I can’t get near the top sliders. My mission now is to pass on what I have to the next generation of sledders.”
