Kochi: Kerala Government is moving ahead
with the preparations for conducting the 35th National Games
scheduled to be held in May, 2010.
"We are going ahead with our preparations for the conduct
of the Games as scheduled," Kerala Minister for Law and Sports
M Vijayakumar said.
The 34th National Games, which should have been conducted
two years ago in Jharkhand, have been delayed for various
reasons.
On the delay in completion of infrastructure, he said the
renovation of the existing stadiums will take only six months
and it is not a problem.
Prior to the National Games in the state, a 'Kerala Games'
will be conducted as a dress rehearsal, Vijayakumar said.
