Gangtok: The Queen’s Baton Relay for the Commonwealth Games arrived at Rangpo checkpost on Friday for commencing its Sikkim leg of journey.
A host of personalities including state ministers, high government officials and sports stars were present for the reception at the border town.
The baton will depart for Nathu la on Saturday and will be handed over to the Commander, 17 Mt. Artillery Brigade by the state officials at Circuit House at 6 am.
The baton rally will finally proceed to Nathu la by road in a convoy at 6:15 am.
