Mumbai: Third seed Shria Khatri and eighth seed Aishwarya Nambiar entered the quarter finals of the girls under-19 event of the ISP-Minute Maid Squash Carnival jointly hosted by Khar and Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhanas.
Shria made a slow start before getting the better of Maanvi Chopra 15-13, 11-2, while Aishwarya romped her way past Araiana Kewalramani in the 100th tournament organised by Indian Squash Professionals.
In men's first round action, Laxman Joshi began his campaign with a 11-7, 11-7 win over Chirag Shah, while Waqar Pathan dropped a game before getting past qualifier Sachin Ugade 11-9, 6-11, 12-10.
