Zeenews BureauNew Delhi: A day after three of the IWF contracted athletes were found guilty of doping, the blame game began with tainted weightlifter Shailaja Pujari openly naming IWF secretary BR Gulati as the man who had framed her.
Pujari told reporters, “I have been framed. Why after 12 tests over the past year did this (last) one turn positive?”
She said that the results had been tampered with and the IWF secretary had a role in the entire process and had made demands for money in case the athletes wanted a clean chit before the test results were out.
The IWF faces a complete worldwide ban if strict action is taken keeping the recent doping offences in mind.
