Puducherry: Opposition AIADMK in Puducherry has appealed to the Speaker to ensure that the budget session of the House commencing tomorrow with customary address by the Lt Governor is held for at least twenty days.
Addressing presspersons here today the AIADMK Puducherry Secretary and party's legislature wing leader A Anbalagan said several issues, including grievances of government staff, law and order problem and price rise needed to be discussed at length and hence a longer duration of session was necessary.
Earlier a joint meeting of all the party's legislators was held at which a resolution was adopted appealing to Speaker V Sabapathy to hold the session for at least twenty days.
The other four legislators were also present at the press meet addressed by Anbalagan.
