Puducherry: CPI's Puducherry State committee mourned the death of the party's Kerala State secretary C K Chandrappan who died on Thursday.
In a resolution mourning the death of Chandrappan, also member of the central secretariat of the CPI, the local unit of the party recalled the late leader's multifarious contributions in ameliorating the lot of the farmers,
students, youth and also in enabling the implementation of several progressive measures while being a MP.
Secretary of Puducherry State CPI committee and former
Agriculture Minister of Puducherry R Viswanathan expressed
grief over the death.
Viswanathan announced that the party here would observe
mourning for three days and party flag would fly half mast as a
mark of respect to the departed leader. A condolence meeting would be held later on Friday.
