Chandigarh: At least 15,000 pirated CDs and
DVDs of movies were seized today and seven persons have been
arrested in this connection, police said.
A special team of Haryana police raided shops in Panipat
after a complaint was filed by a Delhi resident Sunil Sukheja
and seized the pirated movies DVDs and audio CDs, an official
said.
The accused have been arrested under various sections of
Copyright Act 1957.
He said the police have launched a special campaign to
check the sale of pirated CDs and DVDs in the market.
