Amritsar: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on Saturday organised `Akhand Path` in Gurudwara Jhanda Bunga Sahib in Akal Takht in the memory of Sikhs, who were killed during the anti-Sikh riots in November 1984.
A number of Sikh organisations along with followers took part in the `Akhand Path`(non-stop Sikh scripture recital).
On the occasion, former Jathedar Gyani Puran Singh of Akal Takhat and Gyani Jagtar Singh, priest Golden Temple and All Indian Sikh Student Federation President Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad, were present.
The families of a number of riot victims said that every year in November, they are reminded of the killings in which they lost their loved ones.
"We are constantly waiting for the last 28 years for justice which seems far away," a kin of a victim said.
