Faridkot: An eight-year-old boy drowned in an abandoned water tank of sanitation department in a village here.
Satvir Singh alias Happy, who was the only child of his parents, drowned after he jumped into the abandoned tank at Devi Walage village for swimming on Friday.
Only a week back the district authorities had ordered to identify all borewells and tanks lying abandoned.
The administration had ordered a probe into the incident.
