Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party tonight announced its fourth list of 18 candidates for the 2017 Punjab assembly polls.
The list was released by party's state convenor Gurpreet Singh Waraich and Sangrur MP and chairman election campaign committee Bhagwant Mann.
They said after getting feedback from the volunteers of assembly constituencies concerned, the party has selected "honest and hardworking" candidates.
With this the total number of candidates AAP announced for the Punjab Assembly election reached 79. The party had earlier announced names of 61 candidates in three separate lists.
Among the candidates included Sarabjit Kaur, wife of former Punjab minister and Akali leader late Kanwaljit Singh from Dera Bassi seat and TV actor Arshad Dali from Malerkotla seat.
In the list, the educational qualification of six candidates is class 12 and three are matric pass while the age of seven candidates is less than 40 years.
From Gill constituency, the AAP has selected Jeewan Sanghwal (52) who joined the party in 2012 as a volunteer.
From Budhlada Assembly seat, the party has selected Budhram Prinipal who is an MA and "engaged in helping underprivileged children," the party release said.
From Moga, 40-year-old Ramesh Grover will contest the elections, while 37-year-old Palwinder Kaur will fight polls on Shatrana seat.
Jagtar Singh, who is a diploma holder, will contest from Raikot seat and from Urmar seat, 47-year-old Jasveer Singh, who is into transport business will contest, the party said.
From Khanna, Anil Dutt will contest and from Rajasansi, 28-year-old Jagjot Singh who is a Class 12 pass, will fight polls.
The party has nominated Dalbir Singh for Baba Bakala seat, Deepak Bansal from Bathinda, Jai Kishan from Garhshankar, Gurpreet Singh from Zira, Amarjeet Singh from Gurdaspur, Balbir Kaur from Dasuya, Chandan Grewal from Kartarpur and Raman Kkumar from Chhabewal.
