Amarinder to write book on politics of Punjab

Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, who has authored four books, Thursday said he will pen another on politics of the state to "expose" those who have been responsible for its "deterioration" since independence.

will pen another on politics of the state to "expose" those
who have been responsible for its "deterioration" since
independence.

"The book will reveal how the leadership of Punjab
failed to strengthen the state and allowed it to deteriorate",
he told reporters.

His fourth book, "Last Sunset : Rise and fall of Lahore
Durbar", was released recently.

He said over 35,000 persons were killed during the
period of militancy and someone must be responsible for their
deaths.

"I will try that the book is released before the
next assembly elections and preparatory work on it is almost
done but I need to talk many persons connected with the
politics of those days before start writing it", he added.

Criticising the state government, he said the state was
in bad shape due to faulty policies of the government.

On the unbundling of Punjab State Electricity Board
(PSEB), he said although it was must as per the Electricity
Act 2003, the state government should take care that no
injustice is meted out to employees of the board and every
stakeholder is be taken into confidence before taking any
final decision.
