Amritsar: In a barbaric incident, a man was brutally beaten to death after he was strung up upside down by his legs and hands from the ceiling.
The entire incident, which has gone viral on social media, was recorded by a fellow member of the factory owner, who is allegedly being captured in the 74-minute video film thrashing the victim.
In the clipping, the victim, identified as Ram Singh is being beaten mercilessly by an iron rod while another person can be heard asking to electrocute the victim.
Ram, a native of Bihar, was accused of theft by the factory owner and taken away by his henchmen on Thursday. Ram's body was found the next day with injuries all over.
The video purportedly shows the factory owner Jaspreet Singh and two others take turns to beat the man, laughing and hurling abuses in Punjabi.
"They came for him at around 8 in the morning and took him away in a car. He thought they had come to take him to work," Ram's wife Rajji said.
While police have filed charges of murder against the factory owner and two others, all three accused are absconding.
