Badal discharged, advised complete rest

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, who was admitted to a hospital here after he slipped at his residence and suffered injuries on October 7, was discharged Wednesday even as doctors advised him complete rest for 3 weeks.

82-year-old Badal, who had sustained mild lacerations
above the right eyebrow and soft tissue injury in the chest
region, told reporters here that he had been advised rest for
three weeks and will have to refrain from holding meetings and
other works.

"I have also been told not do to traveling for three
weeks," Badal, who had a bandage close to his eye, said.

Badal was accompanied by Sukhbir when he came out of the
PGIMER here.

On being questioned about the fate of Manpreet as he had
been suspended from the SAD for alleged anti-party activities,
Sukhbir said that "any step will be taken as per the party
decision."

"I will abide by party decision," Sukhbir, who is SAD
president said.
