Chandigarh: Cold conditions abated in
Punjab and Haryana with minimum temperature going up by two
notches above normal in the region.
Chandigarh recorded a minimum temperature of 12.4 deg
C, up by two notches, MeT office said on Tuesday.
In Punjab, Ludhiana and Amritsar had a low of 11.9 deg
C and 10.4 deg C respectively, up by two notches. Patiala
witnessed a minimum of 10.3 deg C.
In Haryana, Ambala had a minimum of 12.4 deg C,
rising by a degree above normal.
However, Hisar had a low of 10.3 deg C, while Rohtak
recorded a minimum of 8.8 deg C.
Karnal and Narnaul had a low of 10 deg C and 7.6 deg C
respectively, recording marginal fall in mercury.
MeT has forecast rains at a few places in Punjab and
Haryana.
