Cold conditions continue in Punjab, Haryana

The ongoing cold conditions continued unabated in Punjab and Haryana with the minimum temperature hovering between one to three degrees Celsius below normal in the region.

Chandigarh: The ongoing cold conditions
continued unabated in Punjab and Haryana with the minimum
temperature hovering between one to three degrees Celsius
below normal in the region.

In the plains of Punjab and Haryana, Narnaul was the
coldest place with a low of 2.5 degrees Celsius, two notches
below normal, the MeT office said here today.

Amritsar shivered at a low of 3.2 degrees Celsius, one
notch below normal, followed by 4.2 degrees Celsius at
Bhiwani, Patiala recorded a low of 4.3 degrees Celsius, two notches
below normal and Karnal had a minimum of 4.4 degrees Celsius,
three notches below normal.

While Hisar braved a low of 4.7 degrees Celsius, one notch
below normal, the minimum temperature at Ludhiana was 4.8
degrees Celsius, also none notch below normal.

Among other places, Chandigarh settled at a low of five
degrees Celsius, one notch below normal, followed by 6.5
degrees Celsius at Ambala.

The MeT forecast dry weather in the region during the next
two days.
