Cold conditions continued in parts of Punjab and Haryana with the mercury settling upto two degrees Celsius below normal at some places in the region.

of Punjab and Haryana with the mercury settling upto two degrees Celsius below normal at some places in the region.
The minimum temperatures hovered between two degrees
Celsius below normal to one degree above normal in Punjab and
Haryana, the MeT office said here Wednesday.
In the plains of Punjab and Haryana, Narnaul and
Amritsar were the coldest places with a low of five degrees
Celsius each, which was one notch each below normal.
While Karnal settled at a low of six degrees Celsius, two
notches below normal, the minimum temperature at Patiala was
6.5 degrees Celsius.
Among other places, Bhiwani had a low of 7.4 degrees
Celsius followed by 7.6 degrees Celsius each at Hisar and
Chandigarh recorded a low of 7.4 degrees Celsius whereas
Ambala settled at 8.6 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal.
Gurgaon in Haryana had a low of nine degrees Celsius,
which was two notches above normal.
The MeT forecast dry weather with slight rise in day as
well as night temperatures during the next two days.
