Counterfeit currency seized in Punjab

Two men were arrested in Punjab`s Patiala district with counterfeit currency totalling about Rs 10 lakh, police said on Sunday.

Chandigarh: Two men were arrested in Punjab`s Patiala district with counterfeit currency totalling about Rs 10 lakh, police said on Sunday.
Police intercepted a motorcycle in Rajpura town, 45 km away from here, on a tip off, on Saturday evening.
"We checked their bag and found fake currency," Superintendent of Police Manmohan Sharma said. The notes were in the denomination of Rs 100, Rs 500 and Rs 1,000.
