The minimum temperature remained up to four degrees below normal in Punjab and Haryana on Friday even as days are getting warmer.

Amritsar was coldest in the region with a low of 6.6
degrees celsius, two degrees below normal, the Met office said.

Ludhiana continued to experience cold night at nine
degrees celsius, one notch below normal, while Patiala
recorded 9.5 degrees celsius, two degrees below normal.

In Haryana, Karnal had a cold night at a low of seven
degrees celsius, four notches below normal, followed by Hisar
at 8.6 degrees celsius, two notches below normal, Narnaul 9.6
degrees celsius, one degrees below normal, Ambala 10.8 degrees
and Rohtak 11 degrees celsius.

The capital city Chandigarh registered the minimum
temperature at 8.8 degrees celsius, two notches below normal.

The Met office has forecast sunny days with rise in night
and day temperatures in the region during the next two days.
