Floods: Centre tells Punjab, Haryana to utilise available funds
The Central government has asked Punjab and Haryana to utilise Rs 3,467 crore already given to the two states from the Calamity Relief Fund (CRF) for immediate flood relief works.

Punjab and Haryana to utilise Rs 3,467 crore already given to
the two states from the Calamity Relief Fund (CRF) for
immediate flood relief works.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued an advisory to
the Punjab and Haryana governments that the balances available
at their disposal under the CRF should be utilised for
providing immediate relief to the people affected by floods in
the two states.
The balances already available at the disposal of Punjab
is Rs 2,316.46 crore and Haryana Rs 1,151.45 crore.
The state governments have been advised to deploy these
resources immediately in terms of extant guidelines.
They have also been informed that in case of additional
Central assistance, a memorandum indicating the total assessed
damage may be sent to the Central Government urgently so that
