Hooda orders special survey to assess crop damage

The Haryana government has ordered special `girdawari (revenue survey)` to assess the loss caused to crops due to recent hailstorm in the state.

Chandigarh: The Haryana government has ordered special `girdawari (revenue survey)` to assess the loss caused to crops due to recent hailstorm in the state.
This was announced by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here on Tuesday. Haryana gives maximum compensation in the country to the farmers affected by natural calamities, he told reporters on the sidelines of the ongoing state assembly session. Hooda also announced relief for agriculture tube well consumers of district Bhiwani. He said that the consumer having motor between 12.5 BHP and 15 BHP capacity would be supplied electricity at the rate of 20 paisa per unit for metered supply and Rs 30 per BHP per month for unmetered supply as against the previous rate of 25 paisa per unit and Rs 35 per BHP per month respectively.
