Batala (Punjab): A married woman was allegedly repeatedly raped by four persons for three days after they abducted her while she was going to her relative's house in a village, police said Sunday.

The woman, a resident of Bhagatpur village, was on her way to Mand village on June 17 to meet her sister-in-law when the accused forced her into their vehicle and took her to Amritsar, where they repeatedly raped her for three days, they said.

On June 19, the accused left her near Athwal village and threatened her with dire consequences if she tell the incident to anyone.

After subjecting her to medical examination, a case was registered against four people -- Amandeep Singh of Pandori village, Ghinda and Hira both residents of Kishankot village and an unidentified person, the police said.
