Chandigarh: Cold conditions receded in
Punjab and Haryana with minimum temperature surging by seven
notches above normal in the region.
Ambala and Hisar settled at 11.6 deg Celsius and 14
deg C, rising by four and seven degrees respectively while
Chandigarh had a low of 13.2 deg C, up by six degrees above
normal, Met office said on Sunday.
Rohtak, Karnal and Narnaul also saw mercury going up
in the range of six degrees and settled at 12.6 deg C, 14 deg
C and 11.4 deg C respectively while Bhiwani had a low of 13.4
In Punjab, Ludhiana and Amritsar settled at 10.3 deg C
and 11 deg C with mercury rising by 3 and 6 degrees
respctively, as Patiala recorded minimum of 10.7 deg C, up by
four degrees above normal.
Met in its forecast said mercury may further rise in
in the region.
