`Modi bricks` used to build community centre

Zee Media Bureau Chandigarh: BJP`s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is leaving behind his mark, almost everywhere. In Chandigarh, bricks with Modi`s name on them were used on Tuesday by BJP workers for the foundation-laying ceremony of a community centre. The centre is being built by the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, which ironically is run by the Congress. The Congress was obviously outraged. Mayor HC Kalyan made it clear that the bricks which had Modi`s name on them would be removed. He added the function was organised by the BJP "on its own" and it had nothing to do with the civic body. Municipal Commissioner Vivek Pratap Singh also denied giving any sanction for the ceremony. The community centre will replace an existing structure in Sector 15, which is represented by BJP Councillor Saurabh Joshi.
