Chandigarh: Nine officials were arrested last month by Punjab Vigilance Bureau for accepting bribe, as part of the state's anti-corruption campaign.
"In the month of December 2014, the bureau has been successful in nabbing 9 officers of different departments for accepting bribe and these officers were caught red handed," said an official spokesman of the bureau.
The nabbed officers include Sub Divisional Officer in power utility, Head Constable, revenue officer among others, he said, adding that the accused have been booked under Prevention of Corruption Act-1988.
