Jalandhar: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today said SAD will unanimously oppose Foreign
Direct Investment in retail sector to safeguard the interests
of common man.
"The party has decided to oppose FDI after a detail
consideration on the issue. There is no difference of opinion
in the party on the matter," he told reporters on the
sidelines of 'Sangat Darshan' programme here.
On a query regarding allegations of political vendetta by
Congress leaders, the chief minister said in the current
regime of SAD-BJP alliance, not a single case has been
registered against any political opponent out of vengeance.
"Though my predecessor Captain Amarinder Singh had
indulged in such actions but I have always refrained from it,"
he said.
