Kapurthala: Unidentified persons set ablaze
a car parked inside a house in Mehtabgarh locality midnight
yesterday.
Mohinder Kaur in a complaint to the police today alleged
that nine persons armed with lethal weapons came to her house
and asked about the whereabouts of one Panjab Singh and Shera.
When she expressed ignorance, they allegedly beat her up
and poured petrol on the car parked inside the house and set
it on fire before fleeing.
On seeing the fire, local residents came to her rescue
and extinguished the flames. A fire tender was also pressed
into service.
The vehicle was completely damaged in the fire said the
police.
Police has registered a case against nine accused and
began investigations.
