Chandigarh: In view of the announcement
of Punjab assembly election schedule, the state Congress today
rescheduled all its political meetings and rallies.
However, the schedule for political conferences at
Jor Mela, Fatehgarh Sahib, on December 27 and the Maghi Mela
at Muktsar Sahib on January 14 would remain unchanged, a party
release said.
The new dates for rallies would be announced after
the release of lists of party candidates, it said.
The rallies, which were rescheduled, were to be held
at Faridkot, Jalandhar Cant, Sahnewal, Jalandhar and Amritsar.
The assembly election in the state will be held on
January 30.
