Moga: A day after a man shot dead his daughter and her lover in a dishonour killing case in this Punjab district, the police are still clueless about the attacker`s whereabouts and have failed to arrest him.

According to the police, Jagtar Singh shot dead his daughter Lovepreet Kaur, 17, and her lover Harjinder Singh, 22, on Thursday in Chandpurana village here.

"We are conducting raids at various places in Moga and in the neighbouring districts. We have got some vital clues about the whereabouts of the accused and are hopeful of arresting him soon," Partap Singh, a police officer, said on Friday.

"Lovepreet and Harjinder were seeing each other for the last many months. Around 1 am on Thursday, Harjinder went to Lovepreet`s house to meet her," the officer said.
