Rahul Gandhi to meet party leaders in Punjab

Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Amritsar on Wednesday as part of his two-day trip to Punjab, a senior Congress leader said.

Chandigarh: Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Amritsar on Wednesday as part of his two-day trip to Punjab, a senior Congress leader said here on Tuesday.

Rahul will be addressing a rally of youth of the party at Attari, close to the India-Pakistan international border, 30 km from Amritsar.

"He will be meeting state and district Congress leaders, MPs, MLAs and heads of frontal organisations in Amritsar," Punjab Congress president and former chief minister Amarinder Singh said here.
On Thursday, the second day of his tour, Rahul Gandhi will meet party leaders at the state Congress headquarters in Chandigarh. He is also set to address students at Panjab University campus, where a rally is being organised by the National Students Union of India (NSUI).
