Roll back petrol price hike: Sukhbir to UPA

SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal asked the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre to immediately roll back the hike in petrol price.

Chandigarh: Pumjab Deputy Chief Minister and SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal today asked the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre to immediately roll back the hike in petrol price.

In a statement here, he said the increase in petrol price by Rs seven within 30 days showed the government was playing into the hands of a multinational oil lobby.
There was no transparent formula to determine the price of petroleum products, Badal said.
He alleged the UPA government had failed on all fronts and demanded an immediate roll back in the hike in petrol price.
