Rs 550 crore to promote Tourism in Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today said his government was initiating extraordinary steps to promote tourism in the state but private players would also be encouraged in the field.

Badal today said his government was initiating extraordinary

Punjab government recently signed MOU with the Asian
Development Bank which would sanction Rs 550 crore to promote
tourism industry in the state, he told reporters.

Badal was here in the city to inaugurate the newly built
private hotel in the city.

Talking about recent arrest of dreaded terrorists in
Punjab, Badal outrightly rejected doubts regarding revival of
terrorism in the state.
