Batala: One person was allegedly killed and another injured over personal enmity at Marar village near here, police said.
The deceased was identified as Ranjit Singh and the injured as Jagdish Singh.
SHO sadar police station Rajesh Kakkar said that one Kashmir Singh yesterday allegedly attacked Ranjit and Jagdish, both cooks, when they were returning home after finishing their work at a marriage ceremony in the village.
While Ranjit was killed on the spot, Jagdish received minor injuries and was admitted to a civil hospital.
Kashmir Singh fled from the spot after committing the crime. He was apparently upset over the interference of Ranjit in his family matters as the accused had some dispute with his wife, said police.
