6 killed, 3 injured as SUV collides with truck near Jaipur

 Six youths, in the 18-20 age bracket, were killed and three injured when an SUV they were travelling in collided head-on with a truck at Udaipuria Mode in Chomu town here, police said on Tuesday.

Jaipur: Six youths, in the 18-20 age bracket, were killed and three injured when an SUV they were travelling in collided head-on with a truck at Udaipuria Mode in Chomu town here, police said on Tuesday.

The incident happened late last night when the Bolero jeep, which was on its way to Jaipur from Reengus town in Sikar District, collided with the truck, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Arvind Singh, Vikram, Bhawani, Ankit, Sandeep, and Sohel, the police said.

Two of the injured were admitted to SMS hospital while the third one was admitted to a Jhotwara hospital, they said, adding that the victims are stated to be critical.

The truck has been impounded but the driver has fled the scene, police said, adding investigation is underway.
