Jodhpur: A former local body official was
booked today in the Bhanwari Devi missing case.
"We have booked former deputy zila pramukh Sahi Ram
Bishnoi in the Bhanwari Devi missing case. We have launched
raids at various places across Rajasthan to arrest him but he
is still at large," IGP Umesh Mishra said.
36-year-old Devi, who was posted as auxiliary nurse
midwife at a sub-center in Jaliwada village, went missing on
September 1.
Her husband Amarchand had alleged she was abducted at the
behest of a Minister and his associates.
The Rajasthan government on September 15 had ordered a
CBI probe into the incident.
Devi's son has claimed his mother used to get frequent
threats calls.
