Jaipur: A BJP MLA`s unparliamentary comment
on a state cabinet minister today created uproar in the
Rajasthan Assembly, prompting the deputy Leader of Opposition
to offer an apology.
During Question Hour, a few opposition members alleged
that they were not being invited to public functions organised
by the government.
BJP MLA Hem Singh passed an unparliamenatry comment about
education minister B K Sharma during this discussion, which
created an uproar in the Assembly.
Congress members demanded an apology, while other BJP
members condemned the comment.
Singh said he was ready to retract his comment if it hurt
Deputy Leader of Opposition, G S Tiwari said the incident
was unfortunate and offered an apology, following which the
speaker declared the matter closed.
